ESCAPADE ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR APPOINTED VICE CHAIRMAN OF PRCA SOUTH EAST & EAST ANGLIA

Here at Escapade, we are excited to announce that our Associate Director, Rhianon Williams, has been appointed Vice Chairman of the PRCA South East & East Anglia Group! Working closely with Chairman Katie King and the PRCA events team, Rhianon will be officially welcomed at the first group event of 2016 on Wednesday 27th April 2016, where she will also mediate a panel discussion looking at A Decade of Digital Communications.

In a short time digital has changed the landscape of the PR and marketing industry; from client campaign work, right through to how professionals use it as their own communication tool. A Decade of Digital Communications welcomes friends of Escapade and panel speakers Poppy Dinsey and Paul Sutton, to discuss how the evolution of digital pr over the past decade has impacted their professions, the lessons learnt, and what the future holds.

POPPY DINSEY
Poppy Dinsey is a lifestyle blogger and the brains behind outfit sharing site What I Wore Today. WIWT has been heralded by the press as “changing the fashion industry” and paved the way for a new generation of fashion bloggers. The Evening Standard named Poppy as one of ‘London’s 1000 Most Influential People’ whilst The Drum named her one of the UK’s “top 100 digital achievers” for the second year running in 2015. Poppy started her first blog in 1999 and specialised in property and tech start-ups before changing her focus to full time fashion in 2010. As well as a long blogging career, Poppy has written for numerous print publications including The Financial Times, Elle, Sunday Times Style and Cosmopolitan.

PAUL SUTTON
Independent consultant Paul Sutton was a founding member of the PRCA Digital Group, and his blog (formerly called FutureComms) was featured in The Guardian newspaper as being one of the most influential marketing blogs in the UK. In 2006 he worked as Creative Director for a fast growing PR agency, and became increasingly interested in ecommerce and online marketing. After running his own retail business in 2007, he learned all about Google and search, web design, conversion tracking and online brand reputation. As Facebook and Twitter took off he also learned how to cultivate hugely beneficial relationships and how to use social media to build communities of advocates. His work has since won 16 digital marketing industry awards in the last three years alone.
