AN OUTING WITH THE PENTAX K3-II

A new camera arrival is always an exciting time in the Escapade office.  And with the new PENTAX K-3 II we were so excited that we took it out on a consumer technology PR tour to show it off!

The PENTAX K-3 II digital SLR camera follows in the footsteps of the very popular, award winning PENTAX K-3 meaning it was hotly anticipated in the photography world before it even arrived with us.  The camera is designed to be compact and manoeuvrable, as well as offering easy operation which also meant we had a great time in the office trying it out and getting to grips with all of the technicalities.

We set up a couple of days of meetings with key reviews editors at key photography titles including; Digital Camera Magazine, TechRadar, Amateur Photographer/ What Digital Camera, Photography Blog and Digital Photo.

Having briefed our spokespeople from Ricoh Imaging UK, they attended a series of one-to-one meetings on day one, and were then accompanied by us for the second day in London – where the journalists were all very eager to get hands on with our latest camera! Basing ourselves by the fountain at Tower Bridge proved no problems even though the latest tech near water would usually set most photographers’ hearts racing, but as the camera boasts weather-resistant construction we sat happily in the sunshine, while it was put through its paces.

Leaving journalists to take the camera on a mini shoot meant they were able to capture images that were unique to their magazine or website, allowing them to create a more personable in depth review which is exactly what their readers want to see. Journalists want their articles to be the first to go live, but to also stand out from the rest and answer their readers’ burning questions. All these reasons meant a press house tour was perfect for our latest camera release and we have already received a number of pieces of positive review coverage.

Our consumer PR agency specialises in connecting everyday brands with everyday people across four core sectors; Consumer PR, Food & Drink PR, Consumer Technology PR and Sport, Health & Wellbeing PR.
