JUNE’S STANDOUT CAMPAIGNS: ESCAPADE’S MONTHLY CONSUMER MARKETING ROUND-UP

June delivered a packed calendar of cultural moments – from Pride Month and Father’s Day to the first serves of Britain’s summer of sport. It also gave brands the perfect opportunity to make their mark through smart, timely consumer marketing.

Here are five of the most noteworthy consumer marketing campaigns we spotted in June.

1. Courvoisier Celebrates Modern Mentorship for Father’s Day

Alcohol brands often stick to clichés for Father’s Day, but Courvoisier’s Father Figures campaign breaks convention with an inclusive, emotionally rich approach to consumer marketing.

The cinematic campaign celebrates mentors, teachers and role models who step into fatherly roles. British jazz ensemble Ezra Collective pay tribute to their mentor Gary Crosby, while fashion designer Bianca Saunders honours lecturer Andrew Ibi.

Running across video-on-demand, out-of-home, social media and digital, the campaign puts emotion and inclusivity at the heart of Courvoisier’s return to the UK cultural scene – proving that great consumer marketing starts with human insight.

2. McDonald’s Fuels Big McDonald’s Hunger with The Big Arch

To launch The Big Arch, McDonald’s speaks directly to a universal truth: some cravings only a Maccies can fix.

The hero film Rumble turns a subtle stomach growl into a full-on “hunger quake,” only calmed by that all-important first bite. Beyond film, the brand delivered high-impact experiences across Glasgow murals, Glastonbury activations, Women’s Euros audio spots, and partnerships with Luke Littler and TikTok star Kobie.

It’s a bold, multi-channel consumer marketing campaign that understands how to dramatise a product truth – and turn it into a cultural moment.

3. Snickers Brings Back a Classic Line – With a Football Twist

Snickers gives its much-loved “You’re Not You When You’re Hungry” line a sporty spin, tackling one of football’s most talked-about behaviours: diving.

Aitana Bonmatí—Spanish national team star, World Cup winner, and two-time Ballon d’Or holder—hands out Snickers Bar yellow cards in a mockumentary-style campaign that highlights diving as “anti-football” and promotes respect on the pitch, perfectly timed for the summer’s tournaments.

Proof that even 15-year-old platforms can stay fresh with the right cultural relevance, this is a smart example of longevity done well in consumer marketing.

4. Sipsmith Serves Up Style and Spirit at Wimbledon

As the official gin partner of Wimbledon, Sipsmith delivers a delightfully British campaign pairing tennis and G&Ts with playful charm.

The campaign’s witty 15-second shorts reimagine iconic tennis moments through the Sipsmith lens, ensuring the brand feels just as at home on Centre Court as it does in back gardens across the UK.

Running across social, digital, print and retail, it’s a case study in seasonal, lifestyle-led consumer marketing that goes beyond the sponsorship badge.

5. Turtle Wax Gets Weird (In a Good Way)

Turtle Wax takes the phrase “you are how you car” to the extreme in the month’s most surreal spot.

Human-bobblehead hybrids bring car owners and their polished rides together in one bizarrely brilliant metaphor: when your car looks good, you feel good.

It’s a scroll-stopping piece of creative that shows how unexpected humour and strong visual storytelling can elevate even the most functional brands in the world of consumer marketing.

Which campaign stood out to you?

From inclusive storytelling to sporting spectacle and surreal creativity, these five activations show how great consumer marketing doesn’t just push products – it earns attention by tapping into culture. Which one was your favourite?
