#GETTOKNOW Fritha Quinn

This month we’re getting to know Fritha Quinn, the lovely lifestyle blogger covering life, featuring fashion, travel, interiors and lots over at Tigerlilly Quinn!

When did you first set up your social channels, and what got you started?

I started my blog in 2010 and joined Instagram in 2011. That feels so long ago!

How has the digital landscape changed for you and how you share content since then?

It’s changed massively in the past 7 years, I used to use Instagram as just a filter app to begin with ha! There were a lot of terrible framed orange photos of my dinner 😉 now my Instagram feed is very much curated, it’s still our real life but a more polished version. I plan what photos will go next depending on how they fit with my grid and only post a maximum of twice a day (but usually only once). With the addition of IG stories though the un-curated aspect is coming back a little and I tend to do that as and when and not care too much about what I put on there.

What advice would you give a brand or PR representative looking to potentially work with you on creating content?

I love working on content that has a clear idea what they want but is also open to you being creative and knowing your audience. It’s really frustrating when they have an idea that you know won’t fit with your followers and therefore perform badly.

What kind of projects do you enjoy doing most?

I love to work with photographers and have enough time to create content that I’m really proud of, I hate that feeling of being rushed and knowing you haven’t done as well as you could have.

What advice would you give someone looking to build their social channels?

To engage with other creators and influencers! There is such a big community out there and its a great way for people to naturally recommend you to their followers and boost your growth. Also to only post what you are really proud of, if you don’t have a photo that day that you want to put it don’t worry about posting every day.
