SEPTEMBER’S STANDOUT CAMPAIGNS: ESCAPADE’S MONTHLY CONSUMER MARKETING ROUND-UP

From bold outdoor activations to playful celebrity collaborations, September was packed with consumer marketing campaigns that grabbed attention and got people talking.

This month, brands leaned into humour, nostalgia and storytelling to connect with audiences in fresh and memorable ways.

Let’s take a closer look at the standout consumer marketing highlights from the month.

1. Walkers: Everyone Has A Flavourite

Walkers is celebrating the nation’s love of crisps with its brand-new campaign, Everyone has a Flavourite. From timeless classics like Cheese & Onion and Prawn Cocktail to exciting new flavours Sticky Teriyaki and Masala Chicken, the campaign shines a light on the full Walkers range.

Twelve bold and playful visuals bring the crisps to life, using real ingredients, textures and colours to put each flavour centre stage – all while keeping the iconic Walkers logo at the heart of the design.

The campaign is rolling out nationwide, with eye-catching billboards at Clapham Colossus and Oxford Street’s The Cube. Plus, it’s making its mark across YouTube, TikTok, Meta and TV.

2. Flipping the Script: Burgers First, Gordon Second

Burger King is serving up laughs with its new campaign, Not Made By Gordon.

Not your classic chef collab, the tongue-in-cheek campaign shows Ramsay’s hilarious attempts to sneak into the Burger King kitchen. The out-of-home ads flip the focus back to the star of the show – the burgers – with a cheeky glimpse of Ramsay lurking just out of frame, desperate to get involved.

The message is simple: Burger King’s burgers taste so good, you’d think a world-class chef made them. A clever consumer marketing move that uses humour and cultural icons to grab attention.

3. Uber Eats Casts Jude Law in a Rom-Com with a Twist

Uber Eats has dropped the latest chapter of When You’ve Done Enough, Uber Eats, with a cheeky new TV spot starring none other than Jude Law.

The ad, Romance’d Enough, pokes fun at Law’s rom-com past, flipping those classic meet-cute moments on their head. From bumping into someone in a bookshop to a dog-walking encounter in the park, Law is endlessly pursued by romance – but this time, he’s not having it.

Instead of leaning in, he decides he’s had enough and chooses some well-earned downtime with Uber Eats. Speaking about the campaign, Jude admitted it was “great fun poking fun at myself.”

It’s a brilliant example of consumer marketing storytelling, using humour, self-awareness and star power to land a relatable message.

4. Monzo Makes Finance Personal with The Book of Money

Monzo is shaking up the finance world again with the launch of The Book of Money – a first-of-its-kind, jargon-free guide designed to make money feel less scary and a lot more doable.

Teaming up with Penguin Random House UK, the launch kicked off with The Book Nook, a pop-up bookshop in Soho offering a completely personalised experience. Visitors could even create their own unique book cover tailored to their financial goals – turning finance into something truly personal.

With OOH and a national book tour still to come, the campaign reflects Monzo’s mission to make money work for everyone. It’s consumer marketing with a purpose: clear, creative and community driven.

5. M&S Steps into the New Season

M&S is stepping into the new season with its Autumn/Winter campaign, inspiring customers to make the everyday iconic through bold style moments.

The film captures the return of Autumn after the carefree spontaneity of summer – with fashion firmly in the spotlight. The story follows a woman reclaiming her daily rhythm: swapping summer looks for autumnal style, striding through the city streets with confidence and treating the pavement like her personal runway. Her journey ends on a bus, where she delivers the line: “I’m back.”

M&S celebrates the season as a time of fresh starts, new energy and endless style possibilities – reminding us that everyday moments can feel like a statement. A standout consumer marketing campaign for fashion fans.
