The digital era is here with no signs of disappearing any time soon. In fact, there are over 3.2 billion people now using social media … that’s just over 40% of the world! So, keeping up with the latest trends, in order to make your content stand out in this evolving world, is more important than ever.

We’ve already looked at Why Video is a Killer Content Strategy,  now let’s explore why motion graphics have become one of the most popular styles of video used in marketing strategies.

MOTION GRAPHICS

Originally motion graphics were only really seen in opening titles and closing credits of films, however nowadays, you don’t have to scroll for long before coming across motion graphic content on social media. Essentially, motion graphics are graphic elements which have been animated and are commonly used for infographics and explainer videos as they are a great tool for communicating a message in a clear and memorable way. Text, voice-overs, illustrations, live-footage and sound are just some of the elements that can be used in motion graphics to create variations to logos, video presentations and social adverts.

Motion graphic videos tend to be short and to the point, meaning that you can pack in a lot of information, in a way that is easy for people to understand and therefore encourages people to share with friends/colleagues and families who hold similar interests. They can also be made without any sound which is more desirable today as most people watch videos on mute due to being in public spaces/around other people. Having animated text (as opposed to subtitles on live footage) keeps the audience engaged and supports the visual elements to deliver the required messages.

Due to high engagement value – Twitter tweeted in 2018 that a tweet including a GIF gained 55% more engagement than those without – motion graphics have become one of the most desired styles of video used today.

So, will you be looking to upgrade your content strategy with the use of motion graphics?
